RULES TO THE TALKSPACE
The offside, the out-of-bounds, the no-nos. So, when posting on the forum, these are the guidlines.
And, if you feel a post violates any of theese rules, tell our ref, the Moderator.
Just use the 'Report post' link.
THE BIG DON'TS
- You’re only allowed one account and, when you register, you have to use a proper email address. No disposables, no fakes.
If you’re found out, you get the boot.
- Nike Talkspace is about athletic sisters. Not domain names. So keep these out of the forum or off your logins.
- Don’t pretend to be someone else. If we find you’re doing this, then you’ll see the exit sign. Fast.
- Don’t discuss illegal activities. Fullstop.
- No swearing, no abuse, no insults, no racial remarks, or bad language. Fullstop.
- Don’t use false info to get attention, like for example ‘read this or get arrested’.
- Do not recommend or link to any site that contains warez/copyrighted software/materials that can be downloaded illegally. They’re illegal (duh).
- Constructive criticism is OK, but insults directed towards other users or the site refs will not be tolerated. At all.
- NO SPAM. NO ADVERTISING. Any posts that are self-promotion, advertising, or spam will be removed. Posting and making excessive, inappropriate and unnecessary references to your products and websites falls into this category. Sure, post class, club or event information, but any straight promotional or selling posts will get removed. Fast.
- This is not the place to settle your issues or to be a 'wall of shame'. Any posts like this will be removed. Settle your disputes in private, please.
- We say no to posts of copyrighted material. There should be no posts on the message boards without the owner of the content knowing, got that?
- No posts of lengthy articles, thanks.
- No posts of a religious nature OR posts promoting personal, medical, legal, religious, political, or non-profit causes. Right?
- No SHOUTING. Respect, please. Remember, using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS in posts is considered yelling and rude (plus it is difficult to read).
- Do not disrespect moderators. They are the referees. What they say goes.
THE CAN-DOS
- Before you post, just check your question hasn’t been answered anywhere else on the site. Use the ‘search feature’ to do this, OK? If your topic is already open, post under the thread.
- Post your comment on the best place for it.
- Think of a ‘sum-it-up’ subject line. Put your burning topic in the subject line, then elaborate on the subject itself in the body of the copy. For example,
‘Anyone know a private yoga teacher in West London?’ makes a good subject line. It’s clear.
- If someone helps you out, spread a good vibe and say ‘thanks’. It may help out others with a similar question.
- Yes, please. Go on. Tell us about your class if you’re a teacher. Or a workshop you’re hosting. But ‘no’ to promoting, fund-raising or selling. Got that?
- Be smart. NEVER rely on information or opinions exchanged via the talkspace to take the place of those of qualified health or medical professionals to
issues. Remember. What's right or has worked for one person may not be what's right for you.
- Give new members a warm ‘hi’. Help new athletic sisters learn the ropes and get involved.
